    More details about the country

Bangladesh is a mostly riverine country located in South Asia, with its neighbors including countries such as India and Myanmar. It is a sovereign state which is characterized as having a tropical monsoon climate with most of the land being subject to floods. It mostly comprised of a large deltaic plain formed by three rivers. These are the Ganges, the Brahmaputra and the Meghna Rivers whose deltas provide the area with fertile soil permitting the growing and production of crops such as rice. The capital city is Dhaka and is one of the country’s most densely populated cities.

While Bangladesh can appear deceiving as it is often considered a “third-world country”, it can provide quite a few interesting opportunities to study abroad. This is due to the sovereign state providing an extensive list of universities which in turn provide a wide array of programs to choose from. Most of the institutes focus on Business, Engineering, Medicine, or Technology. However, many programs also focus on Computer Science, Administration, Law & Jurisprudence, Arts, Agriculture, and others. Among the popular and highest-ranking universities are the University of Dhaka, the National University of Bangladesh, the Rajshahi University, and also the BRAC University. Apart from providing excellent training and a degree which is acknowledged and accepted by many countries, Bangladesh also provides opportunities to find a suitable long-term job following graduation. This applies the most for graduates who opt to remain in the country and assist its growing economy, especially in the medical sector. The country can also provide a chance to practice foreign languages as the main foreign language spoken in the country is English. There is also the opportunity to learn more exotic languages such as the official Bengali or a dialect such as Burmese.
