French Polynesia

French Polynesia (Overseas Country of French Polynesia, Pays d’Outre-Mer de la Polynésie française, Polynesia Farani) is an overseas French collectivity. It is comprised of five archipelagoes within the south-central region of the Pacific Ocean amounting to a total of 130 islands. The five archipelagoes are the Gambier Islands, the Society Islands, the Marquesas Islands, the Tuamotu Archipelago, and the Tubuai Islands. The capital and main port of the country, Papeete, can be found on Tahiti, the largest island of the collectivity, with the island itself located in the Society group. In addition to being the capital of the state, Papeete is also one of the largest urban centers within the southern region of the Pacific.

French Polynesia can serve as a stepping stone in attaining higher education and obtaining an academic degree. To begin with, although the country does have a limited list of accredited and internationally recognized institutions of higher education, including the Université de la Polynésie Française, it does compensate by providing thorough and in-depth training on a variety of fields of study such as Law & Jurisprudence, Economy, Management, Humanities, Philology, Technology, Health, Education, and others. In addition to the previously-mentioned advantages, the country is a suitable location to practice and learn foreign languages such as French due to this tongue being the country’s official language. However, one should bear in mind that a student visa may be necessary in order to enter the state, therefore proper planning should be conducted as the procedure of acquiring the document can take time.
