More details about the country
Georgia, officially known as Sakartvelo, is a Transcaucasian country located at the eastern end of the Black Sea. It can be found on the southern flanks of the Greater Caucasus Mountains’ main crest. It shares borders with Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Turkey, and has a shoreline on the Black Sea. Georgia’s territory includes three enclaves: Abkhazia, Ajaria, and South Ossetia. The capital of the country is Tbilisi, alternately spelled as Tiflis. The sovereign state’s form of government is a unitary multiparty republic with one legislative house and the monetary unit used is the Georgian lari.
Georgia can be an interesting and worthwhile location to study abroad. This is due to the country offering around 50 institutions of higher education with international recognition and proper accreditation. Each of the available universities in the country provides a broad range of subjects which a student can select from, with the popular choices being Business, Law & Jurisprudence, Medicine, Management, Administration, Tourism, Economics, Humanities, Sociology, and International Relations. Apart from providing a rather exhaustive list of institutions of higher education and fields of study which students can select from, the country is also a suitable location for studying and mastering foreign languages such as English and Russian. One should bear in mind, however, that for certain courses it may be necessary to learn Georgian, the sovereign state’s official language to a certain level. Apart from the previously-mentioned advantages, Georgia’s higher education also has the benefit of requiring fewer financial resources compared to other countries. This is due to the relatively high standard of living high yet the costs for necessities such as food and transport being less expensive. Similarly, tuition fees are rather completive while providing high-quality training.
