    More details about the country

Israel, also known by its alternatives Isrāʾīl, State of Israel or Medinat Yisraʾel, is an independent Middle Eastern country, situated at the Mediterranean Sea’s eastern end. It shares border with the countries Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Egypt. The country’s official form of government is a multiparty republic with one legislative house, and the currency used is new Israeli sheqel. The country is among the frequently-visited around the world partly due to Jerusalem’s status as a city of importance to three of the world’s major religions. It is also a country which has a highly developed economy which specializes in research, especially in agriculture and water techniques.

Israel can be a worthwhile location to study abroad and obtain an academic degree. This is due to several reasons. To begin with, the country has an extensive list of accredited and internationally recognized institutions of higher education including the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the Tel Aviv University, the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, and others. Similarly, the country offers a broad range of subjects a student can select from, including Education, Management, Computer Science, Information Technologies, Arts, History, Humanities, Culturology, Mathematics, Law & Jurisprudence and others. Israel is also a suitable location to practice Arabic, Hebrew and English. This is due to Arabic and Hebrew being the official languages of the country, whereas English is widely spoken and one of the tongues many programs are available in. While this sovereign state can provide certain advantages to students, there are several factors which can become hindrances if they are not taken into consideration. To begin with, everyday expenses can be rather costly, especially for services and food. Also, tuition fees can vary greatly and students are required to take a test similar to SAT and will need to obtain a visa.
