Libya, officially known as Al-Jumhūriyyah al-Lībiyyah/The Libyan Republic, is a sovereign state located in North Africa. It has a coastline on the Mediterranean Sea and shares borders with the countries of Egypt, Sudan, Niger, Chat, Tunisia, and Algeria. The country is among the largest on the continent, taking 4th position after countries Algeria, Republic of the Congo, and Sudan. Libya’s capital, largest city and chief port is Tripoli with a population of 1,126,000 as of 2019. The country’s form of government is interim government.
Libya can be a worthwhile location for studying abroad and obtaining an academic degree.
