Liechtenstein

Liechtenstein, officially referred to as the Principality of Liechtenstein, is an independent landlocked country in Central Europe. It is a mostly alpine sovereign state that shares its borders with Switzerland and Austria. It is one of the smallest countries in Europe and the world, taking the 6th position after countries such as the Vatican, Monaco and others due to its 62 square miles of total land. The capital of the country is Vaduz, a city located in the Rhine Valley. Liechtenstein is among the countries with a highly developed economy and is also a popular tourist site due to its alpine nature.

Liechtenstein can serve as a worthwhile location to study abroad and obtain an academic degree. While the country does have a limited number of universities due to its small size, it does compensate by providing intense and in-depth training on a variety of subjects such as Finance & Banking, Architecture, Business, Information Technologies, Administration, and Philosophy. In addition, the country has a high standard of living yet the costs for everyday expenses and tuition fees are less costly compared to countries such as France or Switzerland. The country also provides an opportunity to practice foreign languages such as German, English or Spanish. For instance, German is the country’s official tongue and the first language in which education programs can be chosen. English and Spanish, on the other hand, can be selected to write a thesis, especially when choosing to obtain a doctoral degree in Philosophy. However, students should bear in mind that a student visa is required in order to study in the country.
