    More details about the country

Luxembourg, alternatively known as Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Grand-Duché de Luxembourg, Grossherzogtum Luxemburg, Groussherzogtum Lëtzebuerg, is a landlocked country located in northwestern Europe. It is among the world’s smallest countries, with the total land area being 999 square miles. It shares its borders with the sovereign states of Belgium, France, and Germany. Its form of government is a constitutional monarchy with one legislative house with the current head of state being Grand Duke Henri. The capital of the country is Luxembourg (Letzeburg), situated in the sovereign state’s south-central part. Luxembourg is a member of several international organizations including the European Union.

Luxembourg can be a worthwhile location to study abroad. It is a country that despite its limited number of institutions of higher education provide high-quality and in-depth training on a variety of subjects including Finance & Banking, Computer Science, Technology, Philology, Law & Jurisprudence, Management, and Communication. In addition, the country provides an opportunity to hone foreign-language skills such as understanding and speaking German as well as English and French. Furthermore, the country provides internship programs in fields of study such as Finance, Engineering, Computer Science and others. The country is also among the sovereign states with low employment rates, thus providing a high chance of finding a suitable long-term job after graduation. However, there are certain factors which should not be overlooked lest they become hindrances in obtaining an academic degree. To begin with, tuition fees can vary greatly depending on which institution of higher education is selected. In addition, entering the country and studying requires a visa which can take time.
