    More details about the country

Malaysia is a sovereign country in Southeast Asia and can be found north of the Equator. It is a state composed of two noncontiguous regions, namely the Peninsular Malaysia (Semenanjung Malaysia, West Malaysia, Malaysia Barat), which lies on the Malay Peninsula, and East Malaysia (Malaysia Timur), which lies on the island of Borneo. The capital of Kuala Lumpur can be found in the western part of the peninsula, with the administrative center of Putrajaya about 16 miles south of the city. The country, through its separate regions, shares borders with Thailand, Singapore, and Sumatra across the Strait of Malacca.

Malaysia is a suitable location to study abroad and obtain an academic degree. To begin with, the country has a rather extensive list of accredited institutions of higher education, including popular QS World University Rankings’ selections such as the Universiti Malaya, the Universiti Putra Malaysia, the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, the Universiti Sains Malaysia, and others. Also, the country is a location where students can study a broad range of subjects such as Computer Science, Business, Information Technologies, Accounting, Engineering, Management, Finance & Banking, Marketing, Communication, and Medicine. While tuition fees can vary quite a bit depending on the institution of higher education a student chooses to enroll in, they tend to be less costly compared to countries such as Singapore. Also, the country provides many opportunities to participate in internships, especially in fields of study such as Law and Ecology. Also, students can work part-time via obtaining permission from the institution of higher education and obtaining a certain legal document.
