More details about the country
Namibia, officially known as the Republic of Namibia and also referred to as South West Africa/Namibië/Suidwesafrica, is a sovereign southwestern African country. Its neighbors include Angola, Zambia, Botswana as well as South Africa, and it has a coastline on the Atlantic Ocean. It is a country that has very few permanent rivers: the Kunene, the Okavango, the Mashi, the Zambezi, and the Orange. The capital, main commercial center and largest city of the sovereign state is Windhoek (alternatively known as Aigams) with a population of about 268,132. It can be found about 400 miles to the north of the Orange River.
Although the country may appear as an unsuitable location to study abroad, it can provide certain advantages in terms of obtaining an academic degree. While the country does have a rather limited number of institutions of higher education, it does compromise by providing in-depth training on a variety of subjects such as Management, Engineering, Education, Computer Science, Information Technologies, Humanities, Business, Agriculture, Economics, Administration, Sociology, Law & Jurisprudence, Medicine, and Tourism. Namibia is also a suitable country to find and participate in many internships and volunteer programs, particularly in the fields of Ecology, Agriculture, Environmental Studies, and others. Namibia is also a suitable location to practice English as this is the country’s official tongue. In addition, tuition fees tend to be less costly compared to countries such as Egypt or Morocco. However, one should note that the costs of living can be quite costly as many goods have to be imported.
