    More details about the country

Nicaragua, officially known as República de Nicaragua or the Republic of Nicaragua, is a sovereign country in Central America and is the largest of the republics found in this region. The country shares borders with the sovereign states of Honduras and Costa Rica and has coastlines on the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. The national capital of Nicaragua is Managua, a city that can be found on Lake Managua’s southern shore. In addition to being the capital, Managua is also the country’s largest city, with about one-sixth of the population considering it as their place of permanent residence.

Nicaragua can be a worthwhile location to study abroad and obtain an academic degree which can increase one’s chances of finding a suitable long-term job. To begin with, the country has a rather wide array of internationally recognized and properly accredited institutions of higher education, including favored universities such as the Universidad Centroamericana, the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería, and the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Nicaragua. Furthermore, Nicaragua is a country where a broad range of subjects can be studied such as Management, Administration, Business, Engineering, Accounting, Law & Jurisprudence, Marketing, Finance & Banking, International Relations, and Medicine. Also, there are many opportunities to participate in internships and volunteer programs, especially in the fields of Community Development, Health, Ecology, and Education. Also, Nicaragua is a country where scholarships are available as a means to counterbalance tuition fees which can be costly at times. The country is also a suitable location to practice one of the widely spoken and international languages in the world, namely Spanish, as this tongue is the sovereign state’s official.
