    More details about the country

Saudi Arabia, officially known as Al-Mamlakah Al-ʿArabīyah As-Saʿūdīyah or the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is an arid and scarcely populated country in the Middle East region of Asia, occupying around 4/5 of the Arabian Peninsula. It shares its borders with the countries of Jordan, Kuwait, Iraq, Qatar, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen. It has coastlines on the Persian Gulf, the Red Sea, and the Gulf of Aqaba. The capital of the country is Riyadh, alternatively known as Al-Riyāḍ.

Saudi Arabia can be a worthwhile location to study abroad. To begin with, the country has a rather exhaustive list of accredited and internationally recognized universities that can provide in-depth training on a broad variety of subjects including Art, Engineering, Agriculture, Medicine, Education, Computer Science, Information Technologies, Business, Administration, Humanities, Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Health. Among the highly favored selections in terms of institutions of higher education in the sovereign country are the King Abdulaziz University, the King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, and the King Saud University, with each of the universities featured in the 2020 QS World University Rankings. Furthermore, certain scholarships can counterbalance the potential setback of high tuition fees. Saudi Arabia is also a suitable location to study Arabic as this tongue is the country’s official one, including the one often used during tuition in addition to English. However, one should bear in mind that it may be necessary to adhere to a rather strict code of dress when attending certain universities and areas outside of campus.
