Tajikistan can serve as a worthwhile location to study abroad and attain higher education. This is due to several contributing factors such as the range of available institutions of higher education and subjects, tuition fee affordability, opportunities to practice foreign languages, and others. The Republic of Tajikistan has a relatively exhaustive range of accredited universities, including the Tajik National University and Avicenna Tajik State Medical University, and popular study programs such as Economics, Management, Philology, Finance & Banking, Chemistry, Engineering, Information Technologies, Marketing, Biology, Mathematics, and Accounting. In addition, tuition fees within the country’s institutions of higher education tend to be less costly compared to other countries such as China or Singapore, although they can vary greatly. Tajikistan is also among the countries where students can participate in volunteer and internship programs, pertaining to the fields of Business, Healthcare, Agriculture, Education, Law, and others. The sovereign state is, in addition, a suitable location to practice and learn foreign languages such as Russian and Tajik.
