    More details about the country

Tanzania, alternatively known as Jamhuri ya Mwungano wa Tanzania or the United Republic of Tanzania, is an independent country in East Africa. The seat of government administration as well as the largest city and main port of the sovereign state is Dar es Salaam. The country shares boundaries with the countries of Uganda, Mozambique, Kenya, Malawi, Zambia, Burundi and Rwanda and has coastlines on Lake Victoria, the Indian Ocean, Lake Nyasa, and Lake Tanganyika. The country’s official languages are English and Swahili.

Tanzania, despite its location, can serve as a stepping stone in terms of attaining higher education and obtaining an academic degree. While the country does have a comparatively limited list of accredited universities, it does compensate by providing a rigorous and thorough training on a wide selection of fields of study such as Management, Business, Education, Computer Science, Information Technologies, Economics, Accounting, Administration, Communication, and Law & Jurisprudence. In addition, tuition fees tend to be less costly compared to sovereign states such as South Africa or Egypt, although they can vary greatly. Also, as already mentioned, one of the country’s official tongues is English, thus permitting students to hone their foreign-language skills. In addition, Tanzania is a suitable sovereign state to participate in volunteer and internship programs in the fields of Law, Healthcare, Biology, Education, Hospitality, Journalism, Nursing, Psychology, Tourism, and others. However, it may be necessary to obtain a student visa before entering the country, therefore proper planning might be warranted prior to entering the sovereign state.
