    More details about the country

Tunisia (Al-Jumhūrīyah at-Tūnisīyah or the Republic of Tunisia) is a sovereign country in North Africa that shares borders with the countries of Algeria and Libya and has a coastline on the Mediterranean Sea. The largest city and capital of the country (Tunis/Tūnis/Tūnus) can be found on the coastline between the west and east basins of the Mediterranean Sea. Tunisia is a relatively popular tourist destination due to its diverse and intriguing culture, coastal beaches and long history, including a relatively extensive period of being ancient Rome’s rival, as evidenced by the ruins of Carthage.

Tunisia can also be considered a possibly worthwhile destination to study abroad. To begin with, the country has a rather exhaustive list of accredited and internationally recognized institutions of higher education, such as the Université Tunis Carthage, the Université De Tunis, the Université De Sfax, the Université De Tunis El Manar, and the Université De Gabès. Similarly, the country is a suitable location where a broad range of subjects can be studied, including popular selections such as Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technologies, Business, Economics, Technology, Education, Administration, and Communication. In addition, the country’s official language is Arabic, however other foreign languages such as French are also commonly spoken, thus permitting students to practice their foreign-language skills. Furthermore, there are many opportunities for volunteer and internship participation, especially in the fields of Tourism, Education, Sociology, Administration, and Computer Science. Similarly, students have a relatively high chance of finding suitable long-term employment after graduation, especially in the fields of Engineering, Design, Education, and Business. One should bear in mind, however, that certain areas of the country might require adhering to a certain code of dress.
