    More details about the country

Venezuela (República Bolivariana de Venezuela – the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela) is a sovereign state found in South America’s north region and has Guyana, Brazil, and Colombia as its neighbors. It is a country that has coastlines on the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. The capital and main industrial/commerce/education/tourism center of the independent country is Caracas, alternatively known as Santiago de León de Caracas. The city can be found along the Guaire River and follows the lines of the narrow Caracas Valley.

Venezuela is a suitable and interesting destination to attain higher education via studying abroad. This is due to several contributing factors such as the country’s relatively extensive list of accredited and internationally recognized universities, including the Universidad Central De Venezuela, Universidad Católica Andres Bello, Universidad Simón Bolívar, and Universidad De Los Andes, which are featured in the 2020 QS World University Rankings. Similarly, a wide selection of subjects can be studied in the sovereign state’s institutions of higher education, including Engineering, Technology, Administration, Sociology, Computer Science, Information Technologies, Business, Economics, Education, and Management. In addition, although tuition fees differ, they tend to be less costly in comparison to other states such as Brazil or Argentina. Furthermore, the country is a suitable location to practice foreign languages such as Spanish both via study courses as well as volunteer and internship programs, especially in the fields of Education, Ecology, Health, Logistics, and others. However, one should be aware that a student visa may be necessary in order to enter and study in the country, therefore proper planning might be essential.
